Relieve distress.. don’t just pity it

 When you know your employees are struggling with something, instead of hoping they tough it out, ask them what you can do to help.  Many times, you’ll find that following procedure creates problems that can be solved without a loss of quality.  Sometimes, the protocols that we design in this tower of management turn out to be less than brilliant in execution.  Be sure to spend face time with your employees, do your side-by-sides, and listen when they groan or grumble, and watch for rolled eyes… you might just bring relief to the distress of many with that insight.
