Paths to immortality

13 03 2014

“If you would not be forgotten as soon as you are dead, either write something worth reading or do things worth writing.” ~Benjamin Franklin

…And if you don’t want to do either of those, then at least do things worth remembering.  Someday, 20 years down the road, the person that our nonprofit work helps get better today will say to their child “and back in the early 20-teens, we were in such trouble financially that we had to call strangers for help.  And guess what?  They helped us get our bills in order, and now you are going off to college and can graduate without any debt.  They changed our lives forever, and we raised you to act responsibly, so bless them for that!”

That’s one version of immortality… And it feels great!

Speaking of reading…
