Jump Boldly

“To succeed, jump as quickly at opportunities as you do at conclusions.” ~Benjamin Franklin

Jumping to conclusions causes all sorts of trouble.  My biggest fault is that one of my team will come in, and start telling me about a problem, and I jump to the solution, and cut them off.  They’re happy to point out that they already solved it, and was just telling me about the issue so we could avoid it in the future.  Awkward…

Jumping at opportunities – now that’s the cool stuff!  When you see a possible opportunity, don’t let your first thought be “someone already probably took advantage of this.”  Instead, look into it, ask around, Google it.  You might find that the perfect storm of improbabilities that dropped this opportunity on your doorstep was serendipity.  Have faith in yourself and your ability to make something out of a mere possibility.  Be bold!

Speaking of jumping…
