Powering your team through the storm.

As we move through life, and experience our own version of this thing called life, we fill our brain with lessons based on our own experience.  Each path through life is different, just as we are each a unique, “special snowflake”.  That said, we have to relate to other snowflakes, who have had vastly different paths, and find a way to connect at a given moment in time.  Cultural norms, rituals and values (NRV) are what make communication in recurring relationships easier.

Leaders, while countries have NRV’s, so do companies, AND even so do teams or divisions.  Whenever a new group is created, it will work through the process of Forming, Norming, Storming and Performing before hitting their stride.  Knowing that this will happen will allow you to hasten the team THROUGH the storming, by having them acknowledge the issues getting in the way, so that they can swim move past them as effectively as possible.
